Eurotherm was founded in 1965 as a temperature control manufacturer. The company soon expanded into adjacent technology areas. Independent companies were set up to manufacture Data Recorders (Chessell Ltd), Control Systems (TCS / Turnbull Control Systems), and Signal Conditionres (Action Instruments), All four companies achieved international success and were brought under a single international holding company, Eurotherm International.
